Arizona - Wood

I wish this was from the side of Fort Misery, but it isn't. It's from another old log cabin which was similarly small, dark, and formerly inhabited by Governors and such.

Tasty wood like that makes me wish I was a termite. A super-duper time-traveling termite who could travel back to the time in which any wood she ate was grown and/or harvested and/or formed into log cabins. Then I would completely fuck things up by transforming the shape of history with my termite powers -- e.g., eating the log cabin that Lincoln grew up in, leaving those crazy-ass/sad-ass gay republicans nothing to name themselves after. I can imagine other mischief.

But now I must fetch Pica from the yard who is also very fond of destroying wood. I wonder if she was a killer giant destructo-termite in a past life? Or maybe she was just Godzilla?

whatcha doin in Arizona? Huh?

This is from previous family visit to Arizona from last year. I still haven't gotten through all the photos yet.
