Due to popular demand, here's another picture of crazy tree sap in Port Townsend, Washington. Anybody know why it's so colorful?

I think this looks like screaming rat souls.

screaming rat souls... yummmmm.

That ain't tree sap, you just melted some crayons.

The next time a Christian youth rock band comes to my blog and asks me to help them name their band (which has happened more than once -- is it some kind of spam or porn-related thing?) I'm going to suggest that they use "Screaming Rat Souls." I checked bandname.com and it's available. This picture could be the cover of their first album. They could play in little rat suits and spend a lot of time screaming of course.
