Vote Ransom Riggs '07!

|

My good friend, Mr. Ransom Riggs, has been nominated for an Independent Film Channel (IFC) award for his "Portable Living Room" short. My understanding of the situation is that his short will be screened on IFC during their awards show if it wins an online vote. So I encourage you, dear readers, to view the competitors and vote for Portable Living Room! (I believe giving it Five Stars is the thing to do if you want it to win.)

The only bummer is that you need to register on the site, but I found it painless. And how cool will it be to be part of the Groundswell of Internet Support for Mr. Riggs's film?

By popular request, just a bit more neon signage from Dunedin.

LiveJournal WebCollage

|

Sometimes Mary tells me I should blog about web sites I visit. So here we go. Many times throughout the day, I hit the LiveJournal WebCollage. It's a thing that randomly (?) grabs images from LJ posts and makes a clickable collage out of them, updated once a minute.

I find the results pretty fun. You find yourself realizing that a lot of Russian people (or at least, people typic in some Cyrillic alphabet) use LiveJournal.

Oh, a word of warning: sometimes there's porn.

Dunedin, FL - More Neon

A bit more of that neon "Dog Grooming" sign. I think it's interesting because of the contrast between the clean bright colors and the dirt and dust on the sign (it's in a storefront and is a little scuzzy). Well, and that it's neon, and neon = pretty.
